1954 Commemoratives



Columbia University: 3 Cent Blue. Issued to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the founding of Columbia University.

Nebraska Territory: 3 Cent Violet. Celebrates the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Nebraska Territory showing "The Sower" in the foreground and Mitchell Pass and Scottts Bluff in the back.

Kansas Territory: Brown Orange. Illustrating a wheat field and a pioneer wagon train, this stamp commemorates the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Kansas Territory.

George Eastman: 3 Cent Violet Brown. Commemorates the 100th anniversary of the birth of George Eastman, industrialist. He is most remembered for inventing flexible film and the Kodak camrea.

Lewis and Clark Expedition: 3 Cent Violet Borwn. This stamp was issued in honor of the 150th anniversary of the Lewis and Clark Expendition and depicts Lewis and Clark on the banks of the Missouri River.
