1935 Commemoratives



Connecticut Tercentenary: 3 Cent Red Violet. Honors 300th Anniverserary of settlement. Pictured is "Charter Oak" where colony's charter was hidden from English troops sent to revoke it.

California Pacific Exposition: 3 Cent Purple. Issued in conjunction with 1935 Exposition in San Diego celebrating 400th Anniversary of discovery of Pacific Southwest by Coronado.

Boulder Dam: 3 Cent Purple. Commemorated the completion of 726-foot-high Boulder Dam across the Colorado River between Arizona and Nevada.

Michigan Centennial: 3 Cent Purple. Issued on the 100th Anniversary of Michigan's statehood. Pictured is the State Seal of Michigan with nature and industry vignettes in background.
